About chronic bronchitis self-treatment with TCM Gua Sha

Bronchitis and chronic bronchitis.

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the lining of your bronchial tubes, which carry air to and from your lungs. Bronchitis may be either acute or chronic, meaning that it lasts a long time and often recurs.

Often developing from a cold or other respiratory infection, acute bronchitis is very common. Chronic bronchitis, a more serious condition, is a constant irritation or inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes, often due to smoking.

Acute bronchitis usually improves within a few days without lasting effects, although you may continue to cough for weeks. However, if you have repeated bouts of bronchitis, you may have chronic bronchitis, which requires medical attention. Chronic bronchitis is one of the conditions included in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

TCM look bronchitis from a different way.

In traditional Chinese medical studies, bronchitis belongs to the category of Ke Sou (cough) and Tan Yin (excessive of sputum). TCM considers that lungs manage the ventilation of gases and respiratory system; if the lungs are exposed to diseases, they will result in stoppage of ventilation of gases and it shall yield cough. The spleen is responsible for the homeostasis of fluid, absorption of nutrients, increased of metabolism, if the spleen is not functioning properly, the lungs will loss nourishment, so dampness will be accumulated in the lungs, causing the imbalance of gases and resulted in whitish and sticky sputum.

If coldness of the lungs gradually turns to heat or the lungs structures are affected directly by heat, it will cause fever, trembling, greenish-yellowish sticky sputum; all these symptoms belong to the heat signs. If the gases in the lungs move abnormally and cannot descend to the normal condition, it will then cause dyspnea in lying position.

TCM Gua Sha self-treatment method of chronic bronchitis.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a method of medicine that looks at the patient in a very different way from Western Medicine. Where Western medicine has developed a system of diagnosis whereby the same disease or problem is treated with a similar treatment plan for each patient, TCM examines where the patient is "out of harmony" and strives to treat that, so as to bring the patient back "in harmony" and so make them well.

An example of this is how bronchitis is treated. In Western medicine, a patient with bronchitis may be prescribed with antibiotics, while in TCM such a patient would be examined to see if they were out of harmony with the external forces (in this case, Wind or Cold), and to see what internal forces were out of sync as well (in this case a Deficient Spleen or Lung).

Recent findings point increasingly to TCM as a viable method of non-invasive treatment for a variety of diseases and medical problems.

Gua Sha is an ancient Chinese therapy appears to be at least one thousand years old, and has been proved to be extremely effective in treating both chronic and acute disorders such as asthma, bronchitis, headache, heatstroke, pain and stiffness etc.

Gua Sha is based on the same theory as acupuncture. The difference is instead of using needles to stimulate the accurate acupoint; Gua Sha therapy can yield the same result by scraping the proper area on your skin with simple Gua Sha tools.
Gua Sha helps stimulating the immune system, detoxifies and de-acidifies, promotes the circulation, regulates functions and organs, removes blockades and pain, revitalizes and regenerates ("life-extension"), diminishes stress, fatigue and burn-out, improves and cures countless chronic and acute disorders and complaints, rebalances emotions, relaxes and promotes clarity of mind... everything through ONE simple treatment.

The technique of Gua Sha is very easy to learn and practice. And it is drug free and no known side effect. It is the most affordable, practical, safe and effective way in treating and controlling your bronchitis. You will feel an immediate relief from the symptoms and be able to breathe freely.
